Green Jade Pendant

A polished nephrite jade bi disc in deep spinach green suspended from a 14K yellow gold double-leaf bail, with a small round gold medallion engraved with a bamboo branch hanging through the center aperture. The gold work on both the bail and medallion is hand-chased, with fine linear detail on the leaves and naturalistic engraving on the disc. The bamboo medallion suspended inside the void of the bi is an unusually deliberate compositional choice - the disc frames it like a window.
